Gordon B. Hinckley was the 25th President of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, commonly known as the Mormon Church. After attending college and serving a two-year mission for the church in Brazil, Hinckley graduated from Brigham Young University with a degree in business administration in 1917. In this role Hinckley helped lead the church during some of its most difficult times—including several years following World War II when membership had decreased substantially due to persecution against Mormons around the world.
